Abstract

Last official data show an increase in Cádiz of LGTBIQ+ hate crimes. In general, massive leisure contexts are likely to be suitable locations for aggression. More specifically celebrations with an important folklore and cultural tradition significance, are contexts given to (re)production of the most unshakable gender stereotypes, strongly rooted in heteropatriarchal behavioral patterns and social relationships. This work analyzes the victimization factors for LGBTIQ+ within a specific massive leisure context, Feria de Jerez, and compares them with the ones for people not identified with the collective. To this effect, an online survey of people that attended to 2019 Feria de Jerez was implemented. These results will allow us to start a discussion about the significance of research on this area and suggest further research along the same lines.
