Abstract

Robert Louis Stevenson has always been driven to explore unknown territories, to discover faraway lands. Traveling light and free, losing the sense of time and putting aside his health problems and the fear of death. He jeopardized his own life for the sake of that freedom and for an irresistible urge to write. He took a chance and never missed an opportunity. By refusing to be what his family expected from him, choosing literature instead and surrounding himself with the people he loved, he became what he really was, Tusitala, realizing his own nature perfectly
