The circulation of artworks between simplifications and complications
Abstract
The article examines a recent Italian legislative proposal regarding the art market. Topics covered include authorization procedures, value thresholds, the so-called silence-consent, and even how to identify cultural property. In general, the proposed law displays feo lights and many shadows, which risk complicating the current regulations more than simplifying them.
