Abstract

The paper examines the Ministerial decree 23 January 2016 with specific regard to state museums and regional museum centers, within the framework of the organizational reform of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism. In particular, the paper focuses on two main issues: the recognition of greater autonomy to a number of museums and archaeological sites; and the redistribution of competencies between peripheral and central administrations of the Ministry.
