Abstract

Due to the health emergency, the government has established a lockdown period for many social, economic, productive and cultural activities, while still guaranteeing the essential ones. Museums and other public institutions and places of culture have also been closed for health reasons: the essay analyzes the legal reasons justifying this decision and reflects on the qualification of museums as an essential public service. Finally, the essay analyzes the new telematic methods of fruition cultural heritage.
