Abstract

The Italian school has never really taken on civic education, for several reasons related to the recent history of the country. Today, it is more essential than ever to make available to teachers and students tools to understand the present, as alternative agencies that could make up for the non-compliance of the educational institution in the past have nowadays failed. The Civitas project was created to provide, through a website open to the collaboration of the school world, tools for furher study and knowledge that are increasingly necessary in a world dominated by the background noise of social networks and ever more difficult to interpret in its complexity.
