Abstract

This paper analyses the program's objectives which are shared by the Countries of the European Union, concerning the lifelong learning and the life wide learning. We think about Italian situation and we offer a case study concerning Lombardy. We identify problems and paradoxes, that paralyze Italy in relation to the global market. So Italy is doomed to obsolescence organizational practices to the old product and process. We reflect on the challenges that will face Education and the University in the future. It identifies at the end of the lifelong learning as the way out of the crisis, as it is a tool for innovation and development of the individual, as evidenced by the case study of companies, involved in the research.
