Abstract
The objective of the following considerations is twofold. First of all, we wish to reflect on how skills change and grow; secondly, we aim at understanding the consequences of the ongoing changes in terms of social stratification inside the composite aggregate that we call the labour market. Enterprises do not simply look for professionals with a sound technical/ engineering background; sometimes they search for professionals with strong communicative skills directly. Hence, the hypothesis we aim to follow is that technical competences are melting in front of the extraordinary opportunities offered by the Web and by the professional profiles connected to social logic, whether real or virtual.
