Abstract
The article focuses on one of the most enigmatic texts of ancient philosophy, Gorgias' PERI TOU MH ONTOS, and aims to demonstrate the intrinsically polemical nature of the text. Gorgias carries out an intensive attack not only on the main exponents of Eleatism, but also on philosophers such as Leucippus, Democritus and Protagoras. The result is a Gorgian polemic that targets not so much a specific philosophy as philosophy as a whole.
