Abstract
The essay, through the analysis of the institutional history and administrative organization of the Ond (consensus body having a capillary branching in the country), points out two fundamental historiographical issues for the analysis of fascism: totalitarianism and corporatism. How much did the party influence the Dopolavoro organization? What role did the newly formed Ministry of Corporations – which had been rhetorically entrusted with the task of mediating between capital and labor – play? And was the ordinary administration extraneous to the new entity or did it end up incardinating it in its own structure?
