Abstract
In the autumn of 1945, a group of distinguished Italian jurists went on a mission to London to closely study British democracy and its institutions on behalf of the Ministry of the Constituent Assembly. Norberto Bobbio was part of the group. In this essay we reconstruct the activities carried out by the Italian mission during the stay across the Channel, relying on the letters written in those days by Bobbio to his wife Valeria, which are preserved in the archive of the Turin-born jurist and philosopher.
