Abstract
The essay compares Carl Schmitt's "hyper-politics" and Friedrick Nietzsche "impolitics". The underlying, crucial question of "concreteness" is analyzed across three main issues: the role of the subject in political modernity; political theology and the conception of history; the conception of space. This analysis allows showing that the distance between Schmitt and Nietzsche concerns their deconstructive practices, their conception of the original nihilism and of the relationship with that origin. However, there still is a strong relationship between these authors, since their philosophies can be both read only within the frame of "negative thought".
