Abstract

The aim of the present contribution is to provide researchers in psychological sciences with a new software to assist them in calculating statistics concerning dispersion based on entropy. "Entropy 2" was developed for the operative system Microsoft Windows©. It is easy to use, and does not require programming skills to run it. The statistics provided by the program concern the analysis of the dispersion of categorical response variables. They are summary indexes, they make a distinction between explained and unexplained variability, they have the additive propriety, and they take into consideration the causal (prediction-response) relations between variables.
