Abstract
Three experiments were carried out to investigate whether newborn's visual preference for photographs of real faces (Macchi Cassia et al., 2002) is still present in 3-month-old infants and in adults what part of the face captures attention in infants and adults. Results show that the preference for face is present in 3-month-old infants and in adults when the visual configuration is completely rotated. In addition, results show that the position of the eyes in the face captures attention in both groups of age.
