Abstract
In the following study a multiple assessment of Baddeley and Hitch (1974) Working Memory model is presented. The battery consists of ten subtests and it is designed according to Pickering and Gathercole "Working Memory Test Battery for Children" (2001). The partecipants in the study are 360 children ranging in age from 5 to 12 years. Results indicate a considerable development of each of the three components of the working memory. In particular one crucial period of developmental change of Phonological Loop and Central Executive occurs from 6 to 8 years. The study suggests the clinical suitability of the test battery for neuropsychological diagnosis.
