Abstract

This study provides some notes on validation of the «Conceptions of Learning Questionnaire» (Liverta Sempio & Marchetti, 2001), regarding an university students sample of central Italy, and the individuation of subjects' clusters characterized by different visions of learning. The sample consisted of 382 university students (82 males and 300 females), attending various academic years. Exploratory Factor Analyses (EFAs) and Confirmatory Factor Analyses (CFAs) were carried out, with satisfactory goodness of fit indexes for all the three sections (Beliefs, Emotions and Causal Attributions). Moreover, the Cluster Analysis has pointed out three university students' clusters, with different ways of conceptualizing learning processes.
