Abstract
The essay analyzes the bill of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSM) and in particular the following issues: a) the overall design of the reform of the judiciary; b) the discipline of extrajudicial appointments of magistrates; c) the recruitment of judges; d) the reform of the electoral system of the Superior Council of the Judiciary. As regards this last point, in the author’s opinion, the choice of a proportional electoral system by the Governmental Study Commission is a good starting point to ensure the representation of the judiciary, in full compliance with constitutional principles.
