Abstract
The Luciani Commission’s proposals about the judicial system and the Supreme Council of Magistracy can be considered positive because they are innovative but in line with the constitutional model of the judiciary. The introduction of the «transferable single vote» for the election of the appointed members of the Council is shareable, because it can meet the needs of respect for pluralism and the choice of quality magistrates. Also the objective of the non-simultaneous renewal of the CSM is positive, even if the solution of the increase in the number of members and the appointment of the Vice President of the Republic are questionable.
