Abstract
The Reformation of the 16th Century gave birth to a large number of churches that, although united by some dogmatic principles, differ on various theological and ecclesiological issues, on the hermeneutics of the Bible, on strategies of positioning in the public space. The main Protestant polarity today appears to be that between churches with a «liberal» theological and ethical orientation and others that adopt a conservative religious and political agenda. This polarity is expressed internationally and gives rise to distinct and sometimes distant networks.
