Abstract
The growing role of the media in contemporary society has produced relevant transformations in the field of religion. This article illustrates three principal relations between religion and media, in particular the Internet: (a) religions on the web, which transfer their content online and foster interaction between members (b) religions of the web, which sacralize media technology; and (c) digital folklore, which collects new beliefs and rituals that arise in the virtual sphere.
