Abstract
The contribution aimes to show that intercultural and inter-religious mediation is not only possible, but it is also propitious to overcome the critical issues of representative democracy regimes. For this purpose, however, it is necessary to guarantee the principle of the irreducibility of the religious “orderµ to the profane one, with all its consequences, not always, as is the Italian case, fully achieved.
