Abstract

The essay presents the concept of Anthropocene and analyses the relationships, both of conflict and convergence, between work and environment. More specifically, the author highlights how work and environment have experienced a common trajectory in the economic, social, and political capitalistic system; at the same time, work and environment have to be considered together in the policy making. Ultimately, the essay deals with the effects that the protection of environment might cause on labour law.
