Abstract
The author proposes a reflection about the relationship between social concertation and unions unity, articulated in three thesis and three questions. First of all he considers unity as a prerequisite for social concertation; second he considers that social concertation can work if there is a well defined and shared ranking of social and economic priorities and if a selection of actors is operating; third, he underlines the importance of a wide and qualified diffusion of concertation practices. At the end the author poses questions about the future possibility and utility of this social practice and envisages some future issues to be dealt with.
