Abstract
"Lavoro e Diritto" pays homage to the memory of Gerard Lyon-Caen, who died on April 12, 2004, by publishing a translation of his last essay. In these pages the French Maestro resumes a reflection - which has characterized since its beginning his doctoral activity - about the role of labour law and of legal literature. He finds in the evolution of the discipline and in transformation of social reality strong arguments to stress again the importance of labour law and its critical function in the era of globalization.
