Abstract
The author begins asserting the lasting validity of the 1993 "Protocollo" and a sort of impossibility to reform it. He then analyzes the possible innovations deriving from the renewal of the national collective agreement for the metallurgical sector: a traditional leading agreement in industrial relations. One can envisage chances for a new deal of concertation and also the reform of labour legislation could tackle some problems in the area of collective relations.
