Abstract
The author reflects on the writings of Giuseppe Pera about trade union law. Particularly, he underlines how books and articles of Pera show a conception of the labour lawyer not as a neutral jurist but as a participant of a research of equilibrium socially and economically sustainable in a given historical situation. Some issues of Pera's studies are here revised: the book on lock-out and strike and his long life support to a legislative implementation of art. 39 of the Constitution, providing for the "erga omnes" efficacy of collective agreements and a statutory regulation of Trade Unions.
