Abstract

The author reminds one of the founders of the Italian post corporatism labour law, the civil lawyer Francesco Santoro-Passarelli and discusses several important issues of his writings. Among them: the primacy of civil law, the contractual source of employment relationship, the problems proposed by the industrial conflict, the role of trade unions. The author concludes underlining the importance of Santoro-Passarelli's legal methodology: inspired by an historic and systematic approach that still keeps its validity.
