Abstract
With the consent of MicroMega Journal, Lavoro e diritto republishes one of the last essays written by Massimo Roccella. The Author proposes a critical reconstruction of Italian collective bargaining. From the long period during which the level of wages were determined through the indexation scale system, towards the analysis of the contractual model established by the Agreement of July 1993 and, last, the analysis of the actual problems of collective bargaining after the separate agreements of 2009. The considerations developed about the Fiat Agreement of Pomigliano are mainly turned to stress some of the unsolvable problems of separate collective bargaining as well as to discuss the role of Trade Unions.
