Abstract
The Author reflects on the possible present meaning of "union freedom". Particularly he states that is the capacity to conflict - to strike - what distinguishes the union freedom from the ordinary freedom of association. Historically he then distinguishes "freedom from" and "freedom to", the former being the classical freedom of liberal societies of XIX century and the latter a modern capacity of being social protagonist.
