Abstract
The essay focuses on the European policies and actions against undeclared work. In particular the first part is dedicated to the contents of the most important European soft law documents since the Nineties. The last part deals with a short analysis of the aim and provisions of directive 2009/52/Ce, which provides for minimum standards on sanctions and measures against employers of illegally staying third-country national.
