Abstract
The author briefly traces the evolution of fundamental rights within the employment relationship, underlining that only in recent times, and thank to the collective dimensions and the action of Trade Unions, the citizenship entered in working places. Nevertheless, in most recent times of crisis, the new European economic governance threatens the endurance of workers fundamental rights.
