Abstract

This paper elaborates the transformation of the Croatia labour law system from the 1990, when Croatia gained its independence, until recent time. Croatian labour law system faced an important transformation from the socialistic regulation of employment relationships towards market economy regulation. An important period of "modernisation" of the complete legal system, and as a conclusion, of the labour law one also, was the process of becoming the 28th EU Member State. The EU "acquis" played an important role in the development of the labour law system.
