Abstract
The essay focuses on the concept of need in the income support system, in light of the conformation assumed by the labor market and keeping into account the growing presence of workers in a situation of poverty. The recognition, also from a diachronic perspective, of the income support instruments prepared by the national legislator leads the author to question their systematic collocation within the founding principles of our Constitutional Charter, and the theoretical-reconstructive model that we want to assume as a reference for the construction of the most inclusive welfare system possible.
