Abstract
The history of Italian regionalisation, as it is marked by some variables that are extraneous to its reason for being, has not succeeded in transcending the boundaries of that exceptional temporariness that has marked its seasons. As a consequence, each of the latter, once realized, was left without the necessary cultural, legislative and administrative support essential to its consolidation, until their inevitable failure and the substantial return to the previous uninterrupted continuity.
