Abstract

Due also to the effects of Coronavirus, there was an increase of psychological requests and inter- ventions within Italian schools, and the government adopted specific measures. However, the entity of the presence of the school psychologist and the types of competencies and interventions vary substantially between schools. There is therefore a need of clarification on what Italian school psychologists have done and may do. The present paper, based on an analysis of the international and national situations, opens a discussion on the competences and role of psychol- ogists in the Italian schools
