Abstract

School psychologists are involved in a demanding mission: help school to foster among both students and families and teachers psychological health and well being. How to reach this goal does not have a single answer but it depends from several perspectives: order of school and age of students, territory and its specific strength and weaknesses, policies already active in school, integration between school and communities and so on. School psychologist may be a generalist professional with a master degree or post degree training in school psychology, involved in creating a trustful connection with a single school or Istituto Comprensivo IC in order to work as a reference for the multiple school needs.
