Abstract

As highlighted by Zoia, Biancotto and Girelli (2022), there is urge to conjointly discuss knowledge and best practices to better serve the needs that arise in the clinical practice with children diagnosed with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and their families. Following the proposal, we aim to take part in the discussion by shedding light on the visuo-spatial processing in the DCD profile, taking into account its specificities as well as exploring its boundaries, according to a neurodevelopmental perspective. Moreover, we will briefly describe the distinguishing features of Developmental Visuo-Spatial Disorder (DVSD), which can present with some shared symptoms or occur jointly with DCD.
