Abstract

Despite numerous published papers over the years on the subject of dyspraxia and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), doubts still remain concerning the use of these diagnostic labels, especially since there is still ambiguity regarding these terms. It is therefore important to reach a consensus regarding the use of the term DCD by defining when and if it is related to the term Dyspraxia. The importance of the diagnosis of Dyspraxia is still often misrecognizes in our country, both in the developmental age and in adulthood, with consequent difficulties for certification and for correct plans of treatment.
