Abstract

Bullying is one of the scholastic problems which more and more often today it discusses inside the schools of every order and degree. From the definition of bullying given by Olweus, various they have been the researches, the theoretical reflections and the interventions that have been realized in the last ten years in Italy. Leaving from review and research articles that has been published in some of the most authoritative Italian psychological journals from 1995 to 2006, this work takes in consideration in a systematic way the contributions of 48 articles dedicated to this thematic. Various they are the topics considered in the literature: the incidence and the characteristics of the bullying; the linguistic context that characterizes the phenomenon; the teaching and pupils attitudes toward the bullying; the causal and risk factors; the anti-bullying interventions. Although the Italian literature evidences an articulated analysis of the phenomenon, it also outlines some gaps related to the lack of models able to assume a multidimensional prospective of the phenomena.
