Learning difficulties in foreign adopted children

Abstract

The Study presents a research carried out at the University of Padua on the relationship between adoption and learning difficulties. In a first phase parents of adopted children coming from abroad filled a Questionnaire on the difficulties of their children; in a second phase a group of adopted children was administered a standard assessment battery. Results showed that adopted children present in general the same difficulties as non-adopted children, but to a greater extent and with some specifications.
