Abstract
The article analyzes Rachel Bespaloff’s critique of Heidegger’s conception of freedom, highlighting the absence of an essential element: the «fiat creator», or the act of pure creation that transcends the limits of existing reality. Bespaloff argues that Heideggerian freedom is constrained by historical and cultural conditions, while authentic freedom must include the artistic capacity to generate new expressive forms. The author also emphasizes the importance of imagination and sensitivity, particularly through music, as key tools for achieving a deeper and more authentic understanding of human existence.
