Abstract
The essay offers some reflections on the perception of the geographical dimension in Dante’s Divine Comedy, traces a history of travels in Dante’s footsteps from the Nineteenth century to the present, and questions the sense of the pervasiveness of Dante’s figure in contemporary Italy
