Abstract
The influence of Socio-Cultural Level (SCL) is fully documented in the psychological research. Nevertheless, a critical review of the main dimensions of SCL (socioeconomic status, cultural capital and social capital) and the instruments used for their assessment, is missing. In this review, conceptual and methodological issues concerning the definition and evaluation of SCL in different research fields are presented and discussed.
