Abstract
Trust is an important psychosocial dimension in the study of information technology. "Trust in Information System Technology Model" is the theoretical framework which has been examined in this study. According to this model, trust in information technology is a dynamic construct that is established and consolidated in progressive experiences with technology. Expectations about predictability and reliability of information technology instruments constitute the more immediate antecedents of trust in informational technology systems. These constructs would influence the intention of technology use. The present study is a contribution to the validation of the model with an Italian sample. Participants were 480 and data were collected by a structured questionnaire. Results of the Structural Equation Modelling confirmed that predictability influences the reliability constructs and trust. Reliability is a predictor of trust, which in turn affects intention of Information Technology use.
