Abstract

The paper examines the topic of legal certainty in the Spanish legal system. Although it was codified in the Constitution, its meaning isn’t clear. Consequently, the purpose of this article is to identify the role and application of this principle with a focus on the protection of the stability of citizens’ situations. We will analyze the interpretation of this principle made by scholarship as well as by case law, with particular reference to that of the Supreme Court
