Abstract
This article proposes a new classification of recall procedures based on an extensive analysis of their role in the relationship between citizens and state powers, as well as between different levels of government. The removal of representatives, far from being an instrument confined to an ideology of the past, constitutes an element capable of carrying out various functions in consideration of the contexts and pluralism of the social components.
