Abstract

In this paper, the author reviews the contributions of DPCE law journal to the development of the Italian debate on rights over the past 25 years. The analysis follows the traditional framework of categorizing rights into four generations, with a focus on their content and limitations, sources of law, holders, and instruments of protection. Through this approach, the author highlights issues related to the persistence of certain conventional categories and emphasizes the importance of considering the practical and effective implementation of the rights established.
