Abstract
The present contribution aims to propose a reflection on the birth of the catholic women’s movement in the University context. The two authors want to highlight the way in which those women arise from that patriarchal environment and try to stand beside the other secular movements. This specific organization of catholic university students, which was born inside the Italian Catholic University Federation (Fuci), represented an emblematic change among the other catholic women’s associations of the 20th Century and a unique example of apostolic and «feminist» commitment during that historical time, still characterized by rooted preconceptions on gender issue
