Abstract
The article aims to explore Roberto Rossellini’s work in the field of science during his time at the Rice University campus in Houston, Texas, between the 1960s and 1970s. This exploration stems from the discovery of substantial archive documents and previously unreleased film material found in the archives of The Menil Collection in Houston and within Renzo Rossellini’s private archive in Rome. This material offers a more comprehensive insight into the director’s intentions for the unfinished TV series on science, representing a key study that delves into Rossellini’s commitment to the use of mass media as an educational tool.
