Abstract

The article aims to analyse the way in which some recent media productions, including television and literature, have transformed the judicial history of Italy into epic narratives. To do so, it examines the case of 1992, a 10-episode TV series produced by the broadcaster Sky, and compares it to Umberto Eco's recent novel, "Numero zero", also set in 1992. The methodological tools are taken from the influential pamphlet "New Italian Epic" (2008) by the collective Wu Ming.
